1 Peter 1:7

These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold–though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

Have you ever gone through a tough time in your life? You’re definitely not alone. Everyone has trials in their lives, but as Christians, we could either use that time to feel bad for ourselves or we could use it to grow closer to God.

It says in 1 Peter 1:7 that God will use those trials to test and refine us. Through your trials God is shaping you into the person He would like you to be. When going through these trials, it is easier for us to be dependent on God, which makes it easier for Him to work through us.

By doing this, He is able to rid you of your impurities and bring out the best in you, by changing your heart in the process. Job 23:10 states that “… he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold.”

So, during your trials, just remember that God is with you every step of the way. He knows you can handle it and He believes in you! As Christians, we have the comfort of knowing that God is there for us and that we are able to rise above our situations with His help.

Psalm 118:14

The LORD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.
