When I received these pieces in the mail, I was absolutely blown away by the quality and presentation! I’ve recently been tapping into the more boho side of my style and these pieces totally completed the vibe I wanted to bring to this shoot!

Today, I’ll be sharing how to add a bit of boho edge to your summer-to-fall transition outfits!

For me, outfits to transition into fall are all about layers! Here, I’m hoping to share a little bit about how you can incorporate some summer pieces into your “start of fall” looks!

Starting with the beauty aspect of this post, I went for more of a relaxed curl, that I straightened at the ends so it didn’t look too put together. Then, I went for a brown smokey-eye, winged eyeliner (thanks, Melanie!), and finished it off with a dark lip.

For this look, I paired dark-wash denim flares, a velvet, lace-trimmed cami, a button-down maxi dress used as a cardigan/cape, and I finished off the look with a pair of suede wedges.

The two Otra Vez pieces I am wearing here are the:

match made in heaven labradorite + fishbone chain earrings

&

apatite fishbone choker

What I really love this brand is that you can either choose to wear the pieces together or wear them separately and they create just as great of an impact on an outfit!

Also, the location of this shoot was perfect! The girls and I got to grab some coffee, well… (Water for Kristina and and an iced chai tea latte for myself; coffee for Margaret and Melanie) and enjoy the local atmosphere all within the absolute blazing heat of summer. Thanks, C&I Studios for Brew Urban Cafe; such a pretty, chill place to hang with the best, most supportive girl tribe I’ve ever been a part of!

This outfit works for the days that start off cooler, get super hot, and end with a chilly night. To transition, even more, throw on a leather jacket and swap out the suede wedges for a bootie to keep your toes warm! Another great accessory for the look would be a cute, warm headwrap!

I love the ease of this look, it’s super casual and comfy, so I decided to pull my hair back to keep with that easy, rolled-out-of-bed feel.

For this look, I started off with a denim button-down skirt, added a plain black cami, that I knotted at the side, and threw on a patterned kimono! To pull the outfit together I added a pair of strappy, flat, ankle booties.

To tailor this more toward chilly weather, swap out the kimono for a chunky cardigan and add a pair of opaque black tights under the jean skirt!

Th Otra Vez pieces I am wearing here are the:

magical moon hammered brass + abalone crescent earrings

A simple trick to elevate any ponytail, courtesy of our very own hair guru Melanie:

take a small section of hair from the underside of your ponytail, wrap it around the hair tie, and secure it with a bobby pin or two!

I love this look because it has more of an earthy, 90’s grunge vibe,  itself, while the jewelry brings a lightness to balance it out.

Here, I’m wearing an olive green tank dress (found at a GoodWill), a chunky sweater (borrowed from mom’s closet), and a pair of brown, studded leather booties. To complete the look I added a large leather crossbody and a pair of oversized sunnies, of course.
