According to the Pantone Color Trend Report, two of the biggest color trends for Spring 2018 are Meadowlark, “a confident and outgoing bright yellow shade,” and Pink Lavender, “a soft and romantic violet rose.”
Before I was aware of these colors being large upcoming trends, Margaret and I were out doing a little shopping and I picked up both this yellow denim jacket and pink beret at H&M. She had the bright idea to pair them together and I have to say, I quite enjoy how the colors compliment each other.
I kept the styling very minimal with a black and white striped t-shirt and distressed jeans. I also went straight to my peach old skool Vans for this look, to give it a softer, more laid-back feel and to let my jacket be the focal point of the look.
Also, who says you can’t match your shoes to your hat!? In fashion there are no set rules, so do what makes you feel good!
