Woohoo! School’s out and it’s the first day of summer! So it’s only appropriate to show you guys some of our beach bag essentials!
Sunscreen:
Because sunburn would definitely ruin the “first day of summer” vibes.
I really dislike the oily, sticky feeling of sunscreen, but I finally found these Neutrogena sunscreens that are super light and they dry quickly. I like to use the spray for my lower body and the lotion for my face and arms.
Sunhat:
Just because you can never have too much sun protection and it’s cute!
Sunnies:
How could you go to the beach without a pair of sunglasses!?

Clips & Hair ties:
Because the heat can be unbearable!

Good Reads:
For those of you who, like me, don’t really enjoy being in the water, I suggest taking something good to read.
Body Mist:
Something with a coconut scent to add to the tropical mindset.
Leave-in Conditioner:
Great for those of you who do love the water! Put a little bit of leave-in conditioner when you get out so you can achieve beachy waves without leaving your hair stringy.
Baby Powder:
You’re at the beach, so getting sand stuck to you is inevitable. Baby powder will get all that unnecessary sand off! Just sprinkle some on, rub, and voila!
After-sun Soother:
Along with your sunscreen, I suggest taking some type of after-sun soother, whether it be an aloe vera cooling gel or this Burt’s Bees Aloe & Linden Flower cream. Your skin will need all the hydration it can get after being out in the sun for hours!
P.S. In my house we call this Burt’s Bees cream the “magic lotion.” I highly recommend this cream because it works overnight if you are diligent in using it. I have had some really bad sunburns in the past few years and this lotion has helped me through all of them. As soon as your burn has absorbed the cream automatically put more on, I promise it will help!
